Clearwater Beach Gets More Parking
By lipply on Mar 24, 2009 in Uncategorized
For now Clearwater Beach will get 203 temporary beach parking spaces. The City Council has committed to providing the temporary spaces until such time as the new permanent spots can be put in place. Since development of the new beach hotel is on hold, the developer and the city teamed together to provide this much needed temporary parking for spring and summer beach goers. It’s been promised for the beginning of Spring Break near the corner of First Street and Coronado Drive. Spring Break brings a lot of tourists, families and college students to the area and parking has recently been as issue for our guests.
The temporary lot will be open from 7 am to 11 pm and after 11 pm there is no parking allowed. Meter rates are Mon thru Fri at $1.50 per hour and $10 for the entire day. On the weekends and everyday in March and April, the cost will be $2 per hour and $12.50 for the day.
Come to Clearwater Beach and enjoy the fun ~ and now you have an easy parking solution! While you are here if you want to take a look at some of the Clearwater Beach Condos for sale, just let us know. We love Clearwater Beach and we know where the good deals are!

Nice to hear about the parking situation. Clearwater Beach has been a favorite of our for a long time. I spent a good number of um… “days off” in college there!
Do they still vend out Sacagawea Golden Dollar Coins from the change machines in the parking lots there?
