Oldsmar

Oldsmar is a small quiet city centrally located in Pinellas County, bordering the larger and well known city of Tampa to the east and Clearwater to the south. Oldsmar is removed from the hustle and bustle of the big city life that these two larger cities are known for. What can you find in Oldsmar? You will find that Oldsmar has a great deal of preservation land that protects the nature and wildlife this town has come to love. Beautiful oak trees, small shops and restaurants, and quiet neighborhoods await you here as well. With just over 12,000 residents living in Oldsmar, this city remains a pleasant and peaceful place to live.

So what’s there to do in Oldsmar? Some of the locals and people from all around the Tampa Bay area visit the Tampa Bay Downs Racetrack. This race track has had a big impact on the economy of Oldsmar because many people flock here year round for racing season. Another popular attraction on the weekends is the Oldsmar Flea Market. Located off Tampa Road / Hillsborough Avenue, it is a great place to find deep discounts on new and used merchandise as well as fresh produce at a fraction of what supermarkets charge.

Olds Park, Bicentennial Park and many more, you can enjoy a fun filled day outdoors overlooking beautiful oak trees, nature trails, and picnic pavilions. In 2005, the Cypress Forest Water Park was opened. This “spray park” was designed as a great place for the kiddies to beat the Florida heat. With large metal sculptures spraying water and misting little feet as they run by, you can’t help but have a great time! Children will love the playgrounds at each of these parks and will never get bored visiting each one for an exciting new challenge.

The city of Oldsmar hosts many family activities as well. Some of them are Breakfast with Santa, summer camps and art classes, as well as seasonal festivals for residents of all ages to come out and celebrate together. Many new restaurants and shopping centers have sprung up along Tampa Road recently. Yet, Oldsmar Real Estate will always be known as a small quiet voice in the Tampa Bay area – one that is cherished by all who live there.
