Clearwater Paint Your Heart Out

Paint Your Heart Out, Inc is a volunteer driven non-profit organization that helps low to moderate income, senior, single parents, or disabled homeowners maintain their dignity, safety and connections to the community by painting their homes for free. Clearwater’s next event is scheduled for March 20, 2010 and are looking for 25 eligible homes to paint. If you know of someone who is in desperate need of home painting and qualifies under the above requirements, don’t hesitate to nominate them to the organizers. This is also a great way to volunteer your services for a day and help these people out. No special skills are needed, just a warm heart and a big smile and lots of energy. Can’t volunteer? Donations are gladly excepted as well. This is an awesome organization that provides a wonderful service to the community. Get involved!

“Georgia Harrison is as bright and cheery as her newly painted house. Having lived in her current home for 46 years, Mrs. Harrison has no plans to leave any time soon. “I will live here as long as I can,” she says of her beloved house. Recovery from open heart surgery, living alone and a restrictive income have made home improvement options limited. Mrs. Harrison was pleased to find a Paint Your Heart Out brochure at the Anaheim Senior Center. “It’s a wonderful thing,” she says of the PYHO organization.”

  1. What a great idea. There are a lot of people who don’t have the capability to do a lot of things for themselves. Also, I love that you don’t just post about real estate. This kind of story is good to get out regardless of what kind of blog you have.
